Dr. Knight is a board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist and a Fellow
of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Born and raised in
Northern California, Dr. Knight completed her undergraduate education at
U.C. Berkeley, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Integrative
Biology with a minor in Women's Studies. While attending college she
received recognition for her contribution to the development of a
traveling health clinic for the homeless and for perinatal services for
homeless women. Dr Knight earned a Master's degree in Anatomy and
Neurobiology from Saint Louis University where she also attended Medical
School. She completed her residency at St. John's Mercy Medical Center
in St. Louis.
Dr. Knight has been featured on "Birth Day," a Discovery Health Channel
program. In addition, she was on the advisory board and was a
contributor for the book "Raising Babies in Saint Louis" which was
released in the fall of 2004 and it's sequel, "Raising Kids in Saint
Louis" which was released in March 2006. She is currently contributing
to "The Naked Truth, Women Through the Ages" which is expected to be
published soon. She often makes television appearances and has been
featured on "Hooked on Health" as well as public service announcements
for Charter Communications.
Dr. Knight has served on the board of directors for Community Health
Charities of Missouri and Kansas. She is a member of the American
College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical
Association, the National Association of Medical Communicators, the
Missouri State Medical Association, the Saint Louis Gynecological
Society, and the Flying Physicians Association.
Dr. Knight speaks Spanish and enjoys spending her free time flying airplanes.
Her happiest moments are spent with her husband and their two children.
